I look forward to weekends and getting to spend time with Ben and Maia. Maia has been somewhat whiny lately but I think that just goes with the toddler territory, right? The tantrums are never fun but the laughing, hugs and learning are really what makes me happy.
Not much going on today. Ben took Maia on a few errands while I "reclined" on the couch. I really want to get out and do something so it's frustrating not to be able to go with them or to help around the house much. I still do a lot to entertain Maia while she's home but I want to do more.
Mom and dad came over tonight and mom cooked us swedish pancakes for dinner. This was my favorite meal growing up and I still love it though it's been years since I've had it! It was certainly a big hit with Maia - she gobbled up one and a half (and they are BIG pancakes!) and had a big amount of blueberries for dessert.
After dinner and after I put Maia to bed we watched "Rachel Getting Married". Mom thought it was a chick flick which is why she rented it but it was far from that. It was very angstful and dramatic and I was really hoping for a light, funny sort of movie. Oh well.
The babies are doing fine today. They had some somersaulting going on and were all in all very active. My next appointment is Monday with the at-home nurse for a non-stress test and then another doppler on Thursday. Ben and Maia leave Thursday so I'm hoping for a very uneventful week.
